Description
The R36S is a budget retro gaming handle that runs off a Linux platform. With a few tweaks and a bit of software, The Dirtywave M8 tracker Headless variation can be run on this device with the help of a Teensy 4.1 (not included). This ‘hat’ can host the same switches (Choc V1) that the M8 hardware uses in a similar layout. There are holes included for 2, 6mm square tactile momentary switches to replace the X/Y buttons used for navigation outside of M8, the left analog stick is also deleted and should be removed from the build internally. The right stick is still used for exiting M8.
Magnet wire is highly recommended when soldering leads from the switches to the pads on the PCB.
This listing is for a STL of the mechanical switch plate, which can be used for a 3d print. Show here printed from tricoloured silk filament on a Prusa MK3S. Switches and keycaps are no included.
